A Historic Journey Begins: Celebrating 60 Years of Hula in Santa BarbarA
Aloha to our Hula Anyone ‘Ohana,
For nearly six decades, our hālau has been a vibrant home for Hawaiian and Tahitian dance right here in Santa Barbara. Under the guidance of Angelita Eller, we have shared the stories, the rhythms, and the spirit of Polynesia with thousands of students, families, and audiences across the Central Coast.
Whether you are a lifelong dancer or someone who recently searched for "hula classes near me" and found your way to our studio, you are a part of this incredible 60-year legacy.
But as we approach our diamond anniversary, we aren't just looking back at where we’ve been. We are looking across the Pacific at where we are going next.
Something monumental is on the horizon.
We are preparing for the most ambitious cultural mission in the history of Hula Anyone—a project that will bridge our Santa Barbara roots directly to the sacred, misty highlands of the Alaka‘i Wilderness in Kaua‘i. It is a journey of preservation, education, and deep cultural reverence.
The path is set. The chants are being prepared. Now, we are getting ready to invite you to join us on this historic pilgrimage.
Mark your calendars for March 15th. > We will be making a major announcement right here on the website about "The Bridge to Kaua‘i" and how you can become a founding supporter of this next great chapter.
Mahalo for 60 years of love, dedication, and dance. We can't wait to share this next step with you.
